The Mahogany Grand Ease Collection is the traditional Adirondack form, honored fully and built generously.
The recline is deep and classic — lower and more reclined than the Vantage, closer to the original Adirondack geometry. Once you are in this chair, you have made a commitment. That is not a design flaw. It is the entire point. At 42 pounds, the chair itself has already made the same one.
The arm rests are solid Sapele mahogany — 7 inches of flat surface on each side. Wide enough for a book. Wide enough for a drink. Wide enough for both at once, with room to spare. This is not an accident of proportion. It is a considered decision about what the chair is for.
The mahogany is rich, warm, and deeply figured — the reddish-brown tone and dramatic ribbon grain of Sapele African mahogany. Left unfinished it develops a natural outdoor patina over time. Maintained with periodic oiling it holds its warm reddish-brown character through every season.

The arm rests are the defining feature of this collection — not because of their dimensions but because of what those dimensions make possible. Built from solid stock ripped to 7 inches - a generous flat surface wide enough for a book on one side and a drink on the other.

CONSTRUCTION DETAIL
Wood: Sapele African mahogany — West African hardwood in the true mahogany botanical family. Rich reddish-brown color, dramatic ribbon figure grain, exceptional outdoor durability.
Angélique available on request for properties with direct coastal salt air exposure — Class 1 rated, superior salt air resistance.
Back structure: Two horizontal braces with dedicated vertical back legs transferring the sitter's weight directly to the ground. 30 degree recline — the classic traditional Adirondack geometry, honored fully.
Arm rest: Solid Sapele ripped to 7 inches — wide enough for a book on one side and a drink on the other.
Hardware & Identification: 316 marine grade stainless structural bolts; 305 exterior grade stainless slat fasteners. Brushed brass NASHOBA STUDIO nameplate flush inset into front seat slat. Dedication plaque available for left arm rest. Permanent branding iron makers mark on underside.
Finish: None applied. Oil periodically to maintain the warm reddish-brown tone or allow a natural silver patina to develop outdoors over time.
