The Adirondack, reconsidered.
The Vantage is the Adirondack form reconsidered — faithful to the classic geometry that has defined outdoor leisure for a century, refined in the details that matter most.
The recline is slightly more upright than the traditional deep-rake. Upright enough to make getting in and out feel effortless, reclined enough that you never feel like you are sitting in a regular chair. Still completely comfortable for a long afternoon, but accessible and forgiving for a broader range of bodies and ages. The arm is sculpted at the waist where most Adirondack arms simply narrow, creating meaningful clearance exactly where the body needs it most. Small details. Significant difference. At 28 pounds it moves as easily as it looks.
The teak weathers naturally with the property, silvering gradually over one to two seasons into the driftwood grey that coastal and lakefront settings make their own, or maintaining its warm honey tone with periodic oiling. Either way the chair earns its place on the porch, the deck, the dock.
Built for the view you have been dreaming about.

CONSTRUCTION DETAIL
Wood: Grade A Premium Heartwood plantation teak — exclusively heartwood from trees 20 to 30 years old. Highest natural oil and silica concentration. The only plantation grade suited to extreme outdoor exposure without chemical sealants. Weathers to silver grey or maintains warm honey tone with periodic oiling. Responsibly harvested. No old growth.
Back structure: Floating back rest — no back legs. 26 degree recline — more upright than the traditional Adirondack form for easier entry and exit without sacrificing comfort. Arms bolted to the center back brace, transferring the sitter's weight through the arm structure to the front legs. Three horizontal braces where most chairs use two — the structural answer to a floating back.
Arm rest: Sculpted relief at the waist creates meaningful clearance at the narrowest point — easier entry and exit than a straight arm profile.
Hardware & Identification: 316 marine grade stainless structural bolts; 305 exterior grade stainless slat fasteners. Brushed brass NASHOBA STUDIO nameplate flush inset into front seat slat. Dedication plaque available for left arm rest. Permanent branding iron makers mark on underside.
Finish: None. Oil periodically or allow natural silver grey patina to develop.
Lead time: Four to eight weeks
